Senior Pastor:  Tim Truesdell

Pastor Tim began his ministry at American Reformed Church in July 2016. He grew
up in Hospers, IA and recently finished 9 years of ministry at Christ’s Family Church in Davenport, IA.  He is married to Molly, and they have four children: Micah, Anna, Joshua, and Noah.  Pastor Tim is excited about God leading him to Worthington.  Pastor Tim enjoys running and spending time with his family.

Youth/Outreach Director:  Maggie Gaudian

Maggie Gaudian started her work as the Youth/Outreach Director at ARC in May of 2002. Maggie grew up in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area of Iowa. She was heavily involved at her former church (Grace Reformed in Waterloo) with leading the youth group, singing in the praise band, and participating in a wide variety of activities. She also was a student leader for the Navigators college ministry at the University of Northern Iowa. Maggie graduated from UNI with a General Communications major and a Leadership Studies minor. Maggie enjoys encouraging others to passionately seek Jesus. Maggie and her husband, Matt, were married in January 2003 and are blessed to have two daughters, Audrey and Lily. Their family enjoys exercising and being active in the community.

Church Secretary:  Cory Wiertzema

Cory Wiertzema was hired as our church secretary in February 2009 after 20 years of service with District 518. She grew up in Sibley, Iowa and attended Trinity Reformed Church. She married Gordie, long time member of American Reformed, in June of 1983, and Cory joined our congregation within a year after their marriage. They have two daughters: Sara and Jordan. Cory enjoys reading and crafting in her free time. She appreciates the people of ARC and loves working at “her” church with a variety of tasks like preparing the bulletin, newsletter, and mailings, and handling the church finances.

Church Custodian:  Wendy Huls


Wendy Huls became our church custodian in 2011. She also serves as the Worthington Christian School custodian.  Wendy grew up in the Worthington area and attended the Full Gospel Church as a child.  She and her husband, Rich, were married in April of 1989.  They have three children: Laura, Sarah, and Jonathan. Wendy stays busy keeping up with her children and their activities. She and Rich also enjoy riding motorcycles. Wendy does an excellent job of keeping the church facility in tip top shape and setting up/tearing down for many different church and community events.
